UTHC80 has +2146m of elevation gain. I’ve been thinking that this sounds hard but do-able based on some of my recent 15-20km runs with 400-500m of elevation gain. Then this morning I pulled up the stats on our trip around La Cloche Silhouette in Killarney Provincial Park — and realized that I am proposing to do pretty much the same distance and elevation gain. In a single day. In less than 16 hours.
What have I gotten myself into?
If you’ve read my post on that trip you’ll know that it really walked the line between Type II and Type III fun. Thank goodness I won’t be carrying the 30lb pack and I won’t have to deal with a broken water filter this time!
